Team India on October 15 (Sunday) departed from Ahmedabad to Pune as they gear up for the IND vs BAN World Cup match to be played at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin uploaded a story on his Instagram account as they Men in Blue boarded a flight ahead of their crucial encounter in the World Cup. To note, India recently defeated arch-rivals Pakistan to make three wins in a row as they will look to continue their winning run against the Bangladeshi side on October 19 (Thursday).
India will be eyeing 4th consecutive win in IND vs BAN clash
Earlier in the tournament, the Men in Blue have defeated the likes of Australia, Afghanistan and Pakistan so far. Rohit Sharma and Co. will be eyeing their fourth consecutive win of the competition in the upcoming IND vs BAN World Cup match in Pune. For India, the bowling department has been exceptional.
In the batting department, skipper Rohit Sharma has been in sublime touch. The likes of Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have also looked in good touch. Opener Shubman Gill also returned for the match against Pakistan. The right-handed batter is expected to keep his position against Bangladesh as well.
On the other hand, Bangladesh have not started well in the tournament. Their recent defeat came against New Zealand. Shakib and Co. will have to find a way to come on top against a lethal Indian side. As mentioned above, the home side takes on their neighbours at the MCA Stadium in Pune on October 19 (Thursday).
