WATCH: Mumbai Indians teases injured Suryakumar Yadav with hilarious video

Suryakumar Yadav picked up an injury while fielding in the third T20I series against South Africa recently.

The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) teased their star batter Suryakumar Yadav after he uploaded a hilarious video on his Instagram account on Saturday (December 23). In the video, Suryakumar Yadav is walking with the help of a stick as a famous audio clip from a Bollywood movie ‘Welcome’ is being played in the background. Injuries are temporary. Being filmy is permanent,” wrote Mumbai Indians on their Instagram handle.

Earlier, Surya uploaded the same video from his Insta account as he wrote, “On a slightly serious note, injuries are never fun, but I’ll take it in my stride and promise to be back, fully fit, in no time! Till then, hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and finding little joys, everyday.”

Suryakumar Yadav picked up an injury while fielding in the third T20I series against South Africa. To note, the right-handed batter was appointed as the captain for India in the series in an interim role. However, he continued to impress with the bat especially with a crucial century against the Proteas in the final T20I.

During the second innings of the match, Suryakumar Yadav twisted his ankle early in the innings and was swiftly taken out of the track to receive some medical attention from the physios. However, the skipper did not end up coming back on the field. The right-handed batter is expected to make a comeback in February next year.
