While team director Mickey Arthur tried to defend the team saying it was not easy to play in front of over 1 lakh Indian fans with no presence of Pakistani supporters, it did not quite work out.
But now that Pakistan are set to face Australia, they need to win the fans’ trust back. And Mohammad Rizwan’s appeal to the fanbase will ease things for now. Pakistan can still salvage the tournament as they will face Australia, England and New Zealand besides South Africa in the upcoming games.
