Australia’s star pacer Mitchell Starc made a young fan’s day by gifting him his cricket shoes following Australia’s win over Pakistan in AUS vs PAK 2nd Test in Melbourne on Friday.
Cricket Australia (CA) shared a video on X, formerly Twitter, shows Starc handing over his shoes to a kid after the conclusion of the Boxing Day Test.
Notably, Starc made a promise to the fan after the lunch break that he would gift him his shoes if the team managed to take all the wickets by the end of the day. Fortunately for the fan, the hosts accomplished exactly that.
Australia captain Pat Cummins was the star as his 10-wicket haul in the match helped the hosts defeat Pakistan by 79 runs to take an unassiliable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Cummins bagged a five wicket haul in both innings as Australia bundle out Pakistan for 237 in the second innings. Mitchell Starc also made notable contribution by claiming a four wicket haul.
