WATCH | Indian batsman achieves rare record, equals Yuvraj Singh’s record

Apart from Yuvraj Singh, and Shastri, other players to hit six sixes in an over are Jaskaran Singh, Kieron Pollard, Gary Sobers and Herschelle Gibbs.

There are some records in cricket that are pretty rare, and six sixes in an over is certainly one of them. Everyone remembers how Yuvraj Singh took on England’s Stuart Broad to slam all balls of the over for sixes, during the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup in 2007.

Then, former India head coach Ravi Shastri had achieved the record, albeit in first-class match against Baroda, while playing for Bombay in 1985. He attained six sixes against Tilak Raj. And now, there is one more Indian, who has entered the record books.

Andhra batsman Vamshhi Krrishna hit six sixes against Railways in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy in Kadapa, on Wednesday. Krrishna took Railways bowler Damandeep Singh to the cleaners, to score 110 from 64 balls only. His innings included 10 sixes and nine fours.

As far as the match as concerned, Railways first scored 865/9, with Ansh Yadav (268) and Ravi Singh (258) scoring double tons. In reply, Andhra could only score 378, but the match ended in a draw.
