In a video going viral on the social media, a group of people can be seen beating an individual during IND vs AFG World Cup match.

Things quite escalated a bit after a fight broke out in the IND vs AFG World Cup match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Not a lot of information about the fight is known so far. However, the security deployed at the venue acted soon after to detain the miscreants. In the video, a fan in the red tee was being hit by a lot of fans wearing blue jerseys. Meanwhile, the Indian side completed a thumping win over the Afghani side by eight wickets. With this win, Indian have now won their both matches in the marquee event so far.

IND vs AFG: Rohit Sharma was adjudged POTM

Speaking about the match, the visitors won the toss and opted to have a bat first. Skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi was pick of the batters as he stroked 80 off 88 balls. For India, senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah was exceptional as he took a 4-wicket haul. The Afghani side finished on 273 runs in their allotted 50 overs.

Chasing a tricky 273 for the win, India wasted not time thanks to their skipper Rohit Sharma who smashed his 31st ODI ton and 7th in World Cup history. He scored 131 off 84 balls. Ishan Kishan who was with him was a mere spectator as he scored 47 off 47 balls at the other end.

The opening partnership yielded 156 runs in which Kishan contributed 47. Rohit was dominant today. Virat Kohli got yet another fifty as he scored an unbeaten 55* off 56 balls. Shreyas Iyer also got some time in the middle as he remained unbeaten on 25* off 23 balls. 15 extras given by the fielding side as the match was wrapped up in 35 overs.

I think it was a good win for us. Important to get the win and get the winning momentum. There will be times when you will be under pressure and have to absorb it and we have to come out on top. We have responded to the moments and it’s all about carrying this forward,” said Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.
