Watch Birthday boy Rishabh Pant celebrate his Special day at NCA

Indian batter Rishabh Pant is currently out of the action due to a horrific accident he suffered last year in December.

Team India batter Rishabh Pant on October 4 (Wednesday) celebrated his 26th birthday. To note, the keeper-batter has been out of the action for a decent amount of time as he is currently recovering from the injuries he sustained in a near-fatal car accident in December last year. Meanwhile, Pant celebrated his birthday with some of the friends at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

Pant visited Kedarnath to seek blessings before his birthday

Earlier, Rishabh Pant decided to celebrate by visiting the Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines a day before his birthday. He was accompanied by a local MLA and other supporters. The Southpaw was seen seeking blessings from Shivji and Vishnuji at their respective temples and looked much fitter as compared previously.

As mentioned above, Pant suffered a horrific accident on December 31, 2022 as he was traveling from Delhi to his hometown in Roorkee when just outside the destination, his car skidded off and hit a divider and caught fire. Local individuals at the scene then dragged Pant out of the car before flames engulfed him. He received some first-aid and cosmetic surgeries at a local hospital in Dehradun.

Soon after, Rishabh Pant was airlifted to Mumbai as he underwent a surgery on his knee which had sustained damage. After spending some time in the hospital, the Southpaw was released to recover at home. Due to his injuries, Pant has missed a lot of international cricket. He also could not participate in the last IPL edition as his side Delhi Capitals had a very poor season.

Team India are also dearly missing the services of Pant behind the wickets and with the bat as well. It’s a no-brainer that Pant’s aggressive batting will be missed by the home side in the upcoming event. According to several reports, the Uttarakhand-born batter is likely to be fit for international cricket by next year.
