WATCH | Abhimanyu Mithun’s Amiresque no-ball in Abu Dhabi T10 creates stir

The no-ball by Abhimanyu Mithun in the Abu Dhabi T10 has given rise to an unnecessary controversy.

In the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 league 2023, a strange incident during the match between Northern Warriors and Chennai Braves has raised a lot of eyebrows. The former India fast-bowler Abhimanyu Mithun, who shared the dressing room with greats like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni, bowled a huge no-ball during the fixture, leaving everyone perplexed.

While bowling for Northern Warriors, Mithun in the fifth over of Chennai’s chase of 107, bowled a huge no ball to Charith Asalanka. The bowler missed the mark by such a great margin, that it reminded everyone of Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir during 2010 England tour, who kept bowling big no-balls. He was later caught in spot-fixing.

While there is no proof of any sort of foul play on Mithun’s part, but there certainly is a doubt created in the fans’ minds.
