On the third ball of the 2nd over, Shaw tried to up the tempo and looked to hit Tushar Deshpande for a boundary straight down the ground. However, the DC opener could not keep his stroke down and hit it towards mid-off where 37-year-old Ambati Rayudu flew to his right to take a superb catch.
Rayudu’s top effort stunned not only cricket fans but his teammate Ravindra Jadeja as well who hugged the CSK batter.
Deepak Chahar takes two in two as DC struggles
Deepak Chahar provided Chennai Super Kings with two back-to-back wickets as he dismisses Phil Salt and Rilee Rossouw in two consecutive balls in the 5th over. Chahar first dismissed Phil Salt and then bowled Rilee Rossouw to dent DC’s chase. David Warner is currently at the crease and has scored a brilliant fifty to keep the Capitals in the hunt.
Earlier, top knocks from Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad powered the Men in Yellow to 223/3 in 20 overs. Conway smashed 87 off only 51 balls, while Gaikwad scored 79 off 50 deliveries as they added 141 for the opening stand.
