Pakistan Cricket legend Wasim Akram has claimed that to continues to support Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. The former KKR bowling coach revealed that he isn’t a chameleon to switch sides. The former speedster has claimed that KKR is currently looking good.

Not a chameleon

The former Kolkata bowling coach claimed that KKR is still his team and he continues to support them. He also claimed that he will continue to support the team as he isn’t a chameleon to switch sides.

KKR is looking good. I support KKR because, of course, I’ve worked for them. It’s my team, so I support them. I don’t change my teams like a chameleon,” Wasim Akram told Sportskeeda.

Kolkata Knight Riders are placed currently second in IPL 2024 standings. The Kolkata outfits have won 5 of their last 7 games and will look to continue their fine form. In their previous game, KKR pipped RCB to win a thrilling contest by 1 run at Eden Gardens.

Wasim Akram claims that the arrival of Gautam Gambhir has done wonders for the men in purple. Despite their ace bowler, Mitchell Starc not firing, KKR has played as a unit to etch out results in their games.

“Absolutely, I think, the arrival of Gautam Gambhir has made a huge difference in the KKR team. See ever since Gautam left the franchise, KKR reached the final just once, and they lost that one as well. The performance hasn’t been that good,” Akram concluded.
