Indian star Virat Kohli is set to break the record of his former Royal Challengers Bengaluru teammate Chris Gayle in the Champions Trophy 2025 final on March 9 at the Dubai International Stadium.

Records Virat Kohli could break in Champions Trophy 2025 final
Virat Kohli has already showcased his brilliance in the Champions Trophy 2025 with a century and a match-winning fifty. If he scores 54 runs in the final against New Zealand, he will surpass Kumar Sangakkara to become the second-highest run-scorer in ODI history.
Currently, Kohli has 14,180 runs in 301 matches, while Sangakkara accumulated 14,234 runs in 404 ODIs. The all-time leading ODI run-scorer remains Sachin Tendulkar with 18,400 runs.
