Kohli managed to get only 22 runs in India’s Champions Trophy opener against Bangladesh. His struggle with spinners, particularly leg spin, continued. His dismissal off Rishad Hossain marked the fifth time he had gotten out to a left-handed leg-spinner in his last 6 ODI innings. Meanwhile, India got off to a winning start in their CT 2025 campaign after beating Bangladesh by 6 wickets. Pakistan, on the other hand, succumbed to a 60-run defeat to New Zealand in their opener.
