Vijay Hazare Live: The tournament, named after the first captain to lead India to a Test match win, started in 1993/94. Until 2001/02, there used to be five zonal tournaments with their respective champions, and teams from one zone did not play anyone else. Tamil Nadu have won five of the 20 editions from 2002/03 (including a shared title with Uttar Pradesh), Mumbai four, and Karnataka four. The others have been shared by Uttar Pradesh (with Tamil Nadu), Railways, Saurashtra, Jharkhand, Bengal, Delhi, Gujarat, and – in the last season – Himachal Pradesh.
