Himachal Pradesh were impressive right from the start of the game and restricted Uttar Pradesh to a low total of 207/9 on the back of some impressive bowling performances before Prashant Chopra (99) and Nikhil Gangta (58) helped the side chase down the total.

Coming to chase, 208 run target, Himachal Pradesh were off to a steady start as openers Shubham Arora and Prashant Chopra added 54 runs for the opening wicket. Uttar Pradesh enjoyed the first breakthrough with Shivam Mavi removing Shubham Arora in the 18th over. Prashant Chopra and Nikhil Gangta then stitched 100+ runs partnership for the third wicket and took the game completely away from Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh, however, bounced back in the game after chipping in 4 quick wickets for just 20 runs, including both set batters in Prashant Chopra and N Gangta. From 176/2 to 194/5, Himachal suffered a mini-collapse. But with not many runs to chase, the Rishi Dhawan-led side turned out victorious by 5 wickets.
Earlier, put in to bat, Uttar Pradesh had a shaky start as Vinay Galetia removed Aryan Juyal, skipper Karan Sharma, and Sameer Rizvi in quick successions reducing Uttar Pradesh to 39/4 at one stage. Akshdeep Nath and Rinku Singh then steadied innings helped Uttar Pradesh cross the 100 run mark. Later Bhuvaneshwar Kumar’s valuable 46 helped the side get past the 200-run mark. Uttar Pradesh eventually managed 207/9 in the allotted overs. For Himachal, Vinay Galetiya was the pick of bowler returning for 3-19 while Sidharth Sharma and Pankaj Jaiswal chipped in with two wickets.
