Unlucky Abhishek Sharma narrowly misses fastest fifty record as Kuldeep get consolation wicket

Abhishek Sharma has mustered 257 runs at an unbelievable strike rate of 215.97 and at an average of 36.71

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) Abhishek Sharma set the stage alight with a breathtaking knock, but narrowly missed out on etching his name in IPL history. The left-hander smashed a whirlwind 46 runs off just 12 deliveries, falling just short of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s record of the fastest IPL fifty (13 balls) achieved last season.

Abhishek Sharma put on a show vs DC

The young batsman put on a show alongside his teammate Travis Head as they stitched together a fiery 131-run stand in a mere 38 balls. Their aggressive batting display left the opposition DC bowlers in disarray and sent the crowd into a frenzy.

While Abhishek couldn’t quite rewrite the record books, his innings was a testament to his clean hitting and audacious strokeplay. He fell just four runs short of his half-century, leaving many wondering what could have been.
