India cricketer Suryakumar Yadav failed to keep a fan’s wish as he got dismissed cheaply in the IND vs SL Cricket World Cup match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, November 2.
Before the India vs Sri Lanka game, Suryakumar donned a mask and a cap to hide his identity and conducted undercover interviews with a few cricket fans at Marine Drive in Mumbai.
While interviewing, one of the fans had an advice for the cricketer and said, “Surya needs to bat ahead a bit, and try to improve his game and to score big runs. However, the Indian batter failed to make a big impact with the bat in the game as he got dismissed on 12. His best in the tournament came in Team India’s previous game against England, where he scored a crucial 49 on a tricky Lucknow pitch.
Talking about the game, Team India are still on course for a mammoth total against Sri Lanka. Shubman Gill (92), Virat Kohli (88) and Shreyas Iyer (82) scored half-centuries as India go past 330 in 47 overs.
