U19 T20 World Cup 2025 award winners

The Indian Under-19 women's team thumped the South Africa U-19 side to win the Women's T20 World Cup, and unsurprisingly, many emerging Indian superstars stole the spotlight.

It’s all done from India’s side! Just as Shafali Verma and her team dominated the last Under-19 T20 World Cup, Nikki Prasad and company delivered the same action, winning the T20 World Cup. The Junior Women in Blue defeated South Africa Under-19 with a clinical performance. First, they restricted the opposition to a below-par total of 82, and then the in-form Indian top order—Trisha Gongadi (44) and Sanika Chalke (26), sealed the victory. As a result, India became the Under-19 T20 World Cup champions for the second time.

Several players from the Indian side grabbed attention. Trisha Gongadi emerged as the tournament’s leading run-getter with 309 runs, while Vaishnavi Sharma’s 17 wickets—including a five-wicket haul against Ireland—brought her into the spotlight. South Africa’s Mieke van Voorst also impressed with her economical bowling, frequently controlling the run flow.

It’s fair to say that this competition witnessed several emerging talents who could become future champions. Take a look at the names that became the talk of the town with their impressive performances and earned well-deserved recognition.
