MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo continue to share a remarkable friendship, even though the former West Indies all-rounder has now joined the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their bowling coach for the IPL 2025 season. Over the years, the two have formed an incredible bond during their time with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). However, while Dhoni is gearing up to lead CSK once more, Bravo is now focused on countering the formidable threat posed by the ‘Thala’ and his team.
On the eve of the CSK vs. KKR clash, Dhoni spotted Bravo approaching him during a nets session and playfully called him a “traitor,” much to the delight of fans who were thrilled by their warm reunion.

Bravo’s association with CSK has been significant, with two stints between 2011-2015 and 2018-2022. He later served as the team’s bowling coach during the 2023 and 2024 IPL seasons before taking up his new role with the Knight Riders.
Meanwhile, CSK’s primary captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, has been sidelined for the remainder of the season due to an elbow fracture. As a result, the experienced MS Dhoni has stepped in as captain once again, aiming to steer the team back to winning ways after a challenging run of losses. The five-time champions will be counting on Dhoni’s leadership to spark a resurgence.
