Who will make Test debut in IND vs ENG 2nd Test? Rajat Patidar or Sarfaraz Khan? Only one of the two will wear the India cap on Friday but India batting coach Vikram Rathour is unsure which batter will get the nod in India vs England 2nd Test in Vizag where the ball is likely to turn.
“It will be a tough choice. What value they bring to the team, of course, is that they are super players. We have seen how well they have done in domestic cricket in the last few years. So on these kind of wickets, I think they can really add a lot of value to the team,” Vikram Rathour said at a press conference ahead of IND vs ENG 2nd Test.
Sarfaraz Khan finally got his maiden India call-up with KL Rahul ruled out with an injury. Rajat Patidar was called up after Virat Kohli pulled out due to personal reasons. While both have scored century against England Lions to earn their place in the squad, it is now on Rahul Dravid & Rohit Sharma to hand debut to one of the two.
“If you have to pick one, it’s of course going to be tough. But that’s a decision I think Rahul and Rohit Sharma will have to make in a day or so,” Vikram Rathour added.
