Ishan Kishan appears on KBC after leaving IND vs SA Test series citing ‘Personal’ reasons

Ishan Kishan withdrew his name from the upcoming IND vs SA Test series citing personal reasons as he was replaced by KS Bharat.

The fans on social media took a dig at the young Indian batter Ishan Kishan on Wednesday (December 20). In a photo being widely shared on the social media platforms, Ishan Kishan alongside Smriti Mandhana can be seen on the set of prominent quiz show ‘Kon Banega Crorepati’ (KBC).

It must be mentioned that Ishan Kishan recently withdrew his name from the IND vs SA Test series citing ‘Personal’ reasons as KS Bharath replaced him for the keeper-batter role. This has not gone down well with some of the fans as they are criticizing Kishan for appearing on KBC but not being a part of the IND vs SA Test series. However, there is no confirmation as to when the episode was shot. In the pic, both Kishan and Mandhana are all smiles alongside the host of the show Amitabh Bachchan.

Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that the left-handed batter asked to be released from the upcoming two-match Test series in South Africa, citing unspecified personal reasons. Till now Kishan has played two Tests for India after making his debut against West Indies in July this year.

South Africa and India will begin the Test series in Pretoria on December 26, with the second game to be played in Cape Town from January 3. India are seeking a first test series win in South Africa.
