Following Royal Challengers Bengaluru‘s narrow loss against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024, Virat Kohli clicked a heartwarming photograph with the Sawai Mansingh Stadium’s ground staff.

Virat Kohli smashed a stellar unbeaten 113 off 7 balls but was not enough to win the game as Jos Buttler smashed yet another 100 to keep Rajasthan Royal’s unbeaten streak intact. However, despite a loss, Virat Kohli took out time to pose with the RR ground staff. The photo was shared by RCB on their social media.

Virat Kohli turns up big for RCB in IPL 2024

The proficient right-handed batsman displayed remarkable composure, remaining undefeated on 113 runs from 72 deliveries at a striking rate of 156.94, inclusive of four sixes and 12 boundaries. This marked his eighth century in the tournament, the highest by any player. Throughout his innings, Kohli also achieved the milestone of being the first player to amass over 7500 runs in the lucrative IPL.

Additionally, Kohli forged a substantial 125-run partnership with captain Faf du Plessis for the second wicket, significantly contributing to Royal Challengers Bangalore’s total of 183/3 in their allotted 20 overs against the Royals.

As of now, Virat Kohli leads the run-scoring charts in IPL 2024, accumulating 316 runs in five innings, featuring an unbeaten 83 against Kolkata Knight Riders and 77 versus Punjab Kings, respectively.

At 35 years old, Kohli is poised to sustain his exceptional form as he gears up for the forthcoming 2024 T20 World Cup. Scheduled to take place in June, the T20 tournament is set to be hosted by the United States of America (USA) and the West Indies.
