India wicket-keeper batter and Lucknow Super Giant skipper KL Rahul was greeted in a hilarious way by his teammates on his birthday. The LSG captain was covered in chocolate cake as he turned 32.
LSG shared a picture of KL Rahul smeared with chocolate cake all over him. The photo was captioned, ’32 looks joyful on you, Kaptaan’ on Twitter.
KL Rahul aims for third IPL playoffs
Lucknow Super Giants bought KL Rahul at Rs 17 crore ahead of the IPL 2022. He had rapid success as captain of the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, which he attributed primarily to following his instincts, something he did not do enough in his early days as a leader. Rahul led LSG to the playoffs in the franchise’s first two IPL seasons, and the club has a chance to make it three in a row this season.

The 32-year-old is now again battling for a berth in India’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, which will be held in the United States and the West Indies beginning June 1. Rahul will compete against Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, and Ishan Kishan for a spot in the 16-man team as a wicketkeeper-batsman, which will have a significant impact on his performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
