During a meal together, star Indian cricketer Shubman Gill had the opportunity to meet renowned singer Ed Sheeran and comedian Tanmay Bhatt. In a humorous exchange, Gill jokingly asked Sheeran to inquire why the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) didn’t retain him, as Sheeran revealed his upcoming meeting with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. A video capturing this interaction surfaced on social media.
“Ask him why did they not retain me” said Shubman Gill causing the others to erupt in laughter.
Gill reminisced about his time playing for KKR, surprising Sheeran, who disclosed meeting Shah Rukh Khan previously. Starting his career with KKR in 2018, Gill was released ahead of the 2022 edition. However, he found success with the Gujarat Titans, accumulating an impressive 890 runs in the 2023 season.

Captain Shumbman Gill’s form in IPL 2024
Shubman Gill, the recently appointed captain of the Gujarat Titans, is displaying exceptional form in IPL 2024.
