In the 3rd ODI, Shubman Gill smashed a short of a length ball from Ferguson over backward point which impressed Team India skipper Rohit Sharma. Apart from that one-six, Gill also smashed four boundaries to make it 22 runs in the eighth over of the India innings. The video of the shot has already gone viral on social media.
Gill is currently the leading run-getter in the ongoing ODI series. Having scored a double century in the series, Gill is eyeing yet another century in the IND vs NZ 3rd ODI with the wicket being helpful for batsmen. The youngster also currently has the record for most runs scored by an Indian in a three-match bilateral series.
