The batter has become the second Indian and 9th overall to score a double century and a ton in the same game. Previously, Gill registered his career best score of 269 runs in the ENG vs IND 2nd Test at Edgbaston.

Gill took 129 deliveries to reach the triple-figure mark in India’s 2nd innings. His knock was studded with 9 fours and three sixes.
