Sanju Samson finally hits big ton to send reminders to selectors, keeps T20 World Cup 2024 door open

Samson brought up his maiden international ton in 110 balls, hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson smashed his maiden ODI century in the IND vs SA 3rd ODI at Paarl on Thursday.

Coming at number 3, Samson stitched brilliant partnerships with KL Rahul and Tilak Varma to push India towards a good total in the series decider.

Samson brought up his maiden international ton in the 44th over with a single down to long-on. He reached the 3-figure mark in 110 balls.

With his brilliant knock, Samson has kept his chances alive of making it to the T20 World Cup 2024 squad, set to be played in the USA and West Indies in June next year.

Notably, Samson was snubbed from the Indian squad for the IND vs SA T20Is, indicating that the 29-year-old is currently not in plans for the T20 World Cup.

Earlier, Samson failed to play a big knock in the last game where the Rajasthan Royals fell for only 12 runs.
