Back in the XI for the IND vs WI 2nd ODI, Samson had a short stay at the crease as India succumbed to the West Indian attack in Barbados. With World Cup 2023 places still up for grabs, the Kerala-born star’s failure to make his case is likely to hurt his chances.

Sanju made a return to the side in a bid to cement his spot in the race for World Cup 2023. With Rohit and Virat resting, the team management promoted the Rajasthan Royals skipper to No. 3, hoping to give him enough time to make his mark.
