This exciting match is set to take place on Sunday, May 26, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

In the lead-up to the IPL 2024 final, both captains, Shreyas Iyer and Pat Cummins, engaged in a playful exchange during a mandatory photoshoot with the IPL trophy at Chepauk Beach. The video released by the IPL showcased their unfiltered personalities as they engaged in lighthearted banter. Iyer playfully reminisced about his early days riding autorickshaws, teasing Cummins by humorously charging him INR 20 crore for a ride.

Iyer also took the opportunity to ask Cummins about his experience winning the IPL in his debut season with KKR in 2014. Cummins, who was part of KKR’s squad during their second IPL triumph under Gautam Gambhir’s leadership, featured in only one game that season, where he managed to take a wicket. The towering seamer returned to KKR for the 2015 season and made another comeback to the franchise in 2020 after a stint with the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2017.

Pat Cummings lead Sunrisers Hyderabad to IPL 2024 Final

Captain Cummins has continued his remarkable form this season. Acquired by SRH in the mini-auction for a staggering INR 20.50 crore, he was immediately given the captaincy. Despite having no prior experience leading a T20 team, the 31-year-old has shown his prowess guiding SRH to their first IPL final in six years. Cummins has been a key player for SRH, emerging as the second-highest wicket-taker for his team with 17 scalps this season. He has also contributed with the bat, playing some crucial quick-fire innings.
