RR vs LPG: Spider-cam wires snap in Jaipur, causes delay after match starts

RR vs LSG: The incident happened during the first over the match, when Mohsin Khan was bowling.

The IPL encounter between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants witnessed a slight delay after the wires holding the spider-cam snapped. The incident happened in Jaipur, after the match between the two sides started, and three balls were already bowled by LSG’s Mohsin Khan.

The wires controlling the camera fell on the ground, and had to be cleared up from the playing area. Just when the incident happened, Rajasthan Royals’ social media handle also offered a perfect solution to the situation. Luckily, the mess was cleaned up without a long delay.

RR Opt to Bat First vs LSG

As far as the match is concerned, RR opted to bat first after winning the toss. They announced a strong playing XI with Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag in the middle-order. Dhruv Jurel was also included in the team, with Sanju Samson behind the wickets.

On the other hand, LSG skipper KL Rahul included Devdutt Padikkal to the team, who recently impressed in the IND vs ENG Test series. This would be the southpaw’s first match with the franchise, who are looking to make a mark this season as well. Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis, and Krunal Pandya comprised of the middle-order. Ravi Bishnoi was included for his wicket-taking ability as a leg-spinner.
