The incident occurred in the final few overs of the Rajasthan Royals innings. Trent Boult cleared the boundary with a fine six off Noor Ahmad, which hit a ground staff at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The said staff in question took a blow to the head and was treated on the sidelines as the game carried on. After the innings ended, Rashid Khan, hoped over the boundary billboard to check in on the injured person. He visited the support staff and wished him well before making his way to the dressing room.

Rashid Khan had a fine show with the ball in hand as Gujarat Titans castled Rajasthan Royals for the lowest score of IPL 2023. Last year’s beaten finalists managed 118 on the board, with Rashid Khan finishing with figures of 3/14. Sanju Samson top scored for Rajasthan with 30, while the next best score was of 15 by Trent Boult.
