Five out of the six Gujarat Titans’ bowlers bagged at least a wicket, with the magician Rashid Khan picking up three wickets in the game, in addition to inflicting the run-out of in-form Rajasthan opener Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Rajasthan Royals’ lowest total at the SMS in Jaipur is 95 runs. The shameful batting effort came against Mumbai Indians in April 2011, where the hosts were bundled out for just 95 runs in 18.1 overs. Their second worst performance came against Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008. CSK bundled out the Royals for just 110 runs in 14.2 overs.
On Friday, at the Pink City, Rajasthan Royals batsmen fell like a pack of cards, and after a strong start inside the powerplay, could never recover. The team was placed at 47/1 at the end of five overs, was bundled out for 118 and wasn’t good enough to even bats its complete quota of 20 overs.
