Rajasthan Royals have been the team to beat this season with Sanju Samson’s side turning into a result-clinching machine. While the 2008 winners occupy the top spot, there remain certain frailties especially where their batting is concerned. Devdutt Padikkal and Riyan Parag have both struggled this season. A return to his home ground should help the former while Parag will be interested in the short boundaries on offer.
Rajasthan’s bowling has been impressive as ever with Trent Boult – R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal forming an axis. Add Jason Holder’s versatility and Sandeep Sharma’s form, and RR have a rounded attack. Sandeep especially has a great record against Virat Kohli, having dismissed him 7 times in IPL before.
