The ICC Champions Trophy is over. Now the attention switches to the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). The Indian stars have returned home from Dubai after lifting the ICC silverware. Meanwhile, reports claim that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and others are likely to travel to Mussoorie. The occasion? The stars will likely attend Rishabh Pant’s sister Sakshi Pant’s wedding.
Reports claim that the wedding ceremony will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Mussoorie. Last year, Sakshi Pant got engaged to businessman Ankit Chaudhary. Former India Cricket Team captain MS Dhoni was present at their engagement ceremony in London, back in 2024.
Small break for India Stars
Rishabh Pant was a part of Team India that lifted the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai. However, Pant didn’t get a single chance in the tournament. He was second in the pecking order to KL Rahul who was India’s number 1 choice behind the stumps in the 50-over format.
However, last year, Pant was a part of the Indian side that lifted the ICC T20 World Cup at Barbados. But now, the attention shifts to the IPL. Rishabh Pant underwent the hammer in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction and now has a new home. He was also announced as the captain of Lucknow Super Giants.
The Lucknow outfits broke the bank to acquire Pant for a whopping price of 27 crores. This made Pant the highest priced player in the history of the game. Pant’s LSG will take on Delhi Capitals on 24th March.
