Rishabh Pant decided to remind the Aussies as to just how destructive he can be as he scorched to a half-century in India’s 2nd innings in IND vs AUS 5th Test. The southpaw unleashed his fury on the bowlers right from ball number one as he started off his innings with a maximum. Coming in to bat after the dismissal of Virat Kohli, Pant wasted no time in going after the bowlers, taking Scott Boland and Beau Webster to the cleaners.
Rishabh Pant races to fifty in IND vs AUS 5th Test
Pant‘s half-century was quite contrasting to his 1st innings where he managed to get 40 runs off 98 deliveries. He decided to depart from the conservative approach to switch on his aggressive mood in the 2nd innings as he helped India extend their lead past 100 runs. While his shot selection was severely criticised in the 4th Test, critics and commentators were simply silenced by Pant’s power-hitting at the SCG. His knock was studded with six fours and three sixes en route to his fifty.
