RCb vs PBKS: Yash Dayal bowls out sensational spell against Punjab Kings to forget 5 sixes nightmare against KKR

‘Battle is the Great Redeemer’ – Yash Dayal made the headlines in IPL 2023 when Rinku Singh smashed him for 5 consecutive sixes. But that one incident changed his life. And Dayal repaid his faith with a sensational spell in the RCB vs PBKS clash.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought Yash Dayal in IPL 2024 for a price of 5 crores. He gave away 28 runs for 1 wicket in 3 overs against CSK. But it was his sensational spell against PBKS that turned the tide in RCB’s favour.

Trusting him with the pace attack, Faf du Plessis used him for 3 overs straight in his opening spell. The result? He gave away just 10 runs in 3 overs, bowling with an economy of 3.30. Not just his bowling heroics, Dayal was crucial in saving a couple of boundaries for the hosts.

He got his chance to finish his spell on the 18th over of the game. PBKS had to power hitters, Jitesh Sharma and Sam Curran on the crease. Curran went on to hammer him for two fours. But Dayal went the battle as he went on to dispatch the English star. A superb jumping effort by Anuj Rawat was enough to dispatch the PBKS batter.

Yash Dayal finally ended his spell with an impressive record. His bowling spell showed 4 overs, 23 runs given and a solitary wicket taken.
