RCB vs CSK Weather Report: Will rain in Bengaluru play spoilsport in IPL 2025 match?

According to the latest weather reports, rain and thunderstorms are expected in Bengaluru on match day. The temperature will be around 32°C during the day, dropping to 22°C at night.

The much-anticipated RCB vs CSK IPL 2025 clash is set to take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on Saturday, May 3, 2025. However, weather conditions could play a crucial role in determining whether fans will witness a full match or a rain-affected contest.

RCB vs CSK Weather Forecast

According to the latest weather reports, rain and thunderstorms are expected in Bengaluru on match day. The temperature will be around 32°C during the day, dropping to 22°C at night. Humidity levels will be 63% during the day and 77% at night, making conditions slightly sticky for players.

The biggest concern is the high probability of rain, with forecasts indicating a 76% chance of showers during the day and 78% at night. Thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening, which could lead to delays or even a shortened match.

Impact on the Match

The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has already experienced rain interruptions earlier in IPL 2025, with RCB’s match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) being reduced to 14 overs per side due to wet conditions. If rain persists, the match could face similar disruptions or even a complete washout.

However, Bengaluru’s SubAir drainage system is one of the best in the country, and it is capable of clearing water quickly. If rain stops before 9 or 10 PM, the ground staff could prepare the pitch for a shortened contest.

With Royal Challengers Bengaluru just a win away from all but confirming their spot in the IPL 2025 Playoffs, RCB vs CSK will be a crucial match. RCB have already lost a rain-curtailed match in Bengaluru.

As for Chennai Super Kings, they are playing for pride after exiting the playoff race. As the Lions are wounded, they will pounce on RCB.
