He has played for six different franchises throughout his IPL career, starting with Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals 2008-14), Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings – 2011), Mumbai Indians (2012-13), Gujarat Lions (2016-17), Kolkata Knight Riders (2018-21) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (2015, 2022-present). Throughout his journey, he has only missed a mere two matches, showcasing his dedication and commitment to the league.

The ace WK-batter will now retire from IPL after 2024 season, as per ESPNcricinfo.

He is also the second-highest wicket-taker as a keeper behind MS Dhoni, with 133 dismissals, including 36 stumpings. As a captain, he led Kolkata Knight Riders for 37 matches, achieving 21 wins and 21 losses.
