Ravindra Jadeja Out, Last dance for Dhoni? Predicted changes at CSK for IPL 2025

Ravindra Jadeja Out, Last dance for Dhoni? Predicted changes at CSK for IPL 2025

CSK have to make some tough decisions ahead of the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction.

The five-time IPL champs, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have several important decisions to make before the IPL 2025 mega auction. In a recent development, CSK confirmed that MS Dhoni will continue to play in IPL 2025 even if there are only two players allowed to be retained per side but what about others? Let us check out some predicted changes at CSK for IPL 2025.

MS Dhoni to play IPL 2025

According to Cricbuzz, MS Dhoni will play the 18th season of the IPL even if each franchise is allowed to retain just two players. But CSK’s decision is dependent on Dhoni. If he wishes to continue, he’ll be retained. After the heartbreak in the 2024 IPL, MS Dhoni will be keen to play atleast one more season before hanging his boots.

CSK to drop Ravindra Jadeja for IPL 2025?

In the 2024 IPL, Ravindra Jadeja batting form was a massive concern for the Yellow Army. The left-handed batter failed to hit big shots on a regular basis and was criticized for his slow batting. On the other hand, CSK pay a hefty amount of Rs 16 crore for Jadeja’s services. If the Yellow Army releases Jadeja for IPL 2025, then they will free up a lot of space in their purse for the upcoming IPL mega auction.

Return of Ravichandran Ashwin?

Several reports have emerged online suggesting that RR might release Ravichandran Ashwin for IPL 2025. If that’s the case, then CSK might be trying to bring back the ace spinner in their camp. The slow track of MA Chidambaram Stadium is tailor made for Ashwin. On the other hand, Ashwin batting has also improved, which might tempt CSK to bid for Ashwin for IPL 2025.
