Rashid Khan joined an elite list of bowlers as the Gujarat Titans star registered his first-ever hat-trick in IPL. The Afghan spin wizard picked up a stunning hat trick to break KKR’s back in a stunning display of spin bowling.
With the game in the balance, Rashid Khan got rid of the danger of Andre Russell. He followed it up with the wicket of Sunil Narine, who holed out to the fielder in the deep. Shardul Thakur faced the hat-trick ball but was completely bamboozled by the wrong one.
It is the fourth HAT-TRICK of Rashid Khan’s T20 career. The Spin Wizard now has the most hat tricks in T20 history.

However, Rashid Khan’s hat-trick went in vain. It was Rinku Singh who emerged as the hero. The KKR batter smashed 5 consecutive sixes in the last over of Yash Dayal to chase 205.
“As a bowler, I am always trying to hit the right area. As a bowling unit, we got enough to defend, but sometimes in T20 even 250 does not look good. Take positives from this, it is still early in the competition and learn from it. Chin up and keep smiling and we come back stronger and stronger,” Rashid Khan said.
