Before IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad replaced their captain. Aiden Markram was replaced by Pat Cummins. Cummins will step into the upcoming tournament with a prestigious trophy under his belt, and everyone will expect more from him.
Since Hardik Pandya had a great captaincy record with the Gujarat Titans, he is placed third. However, this time he will be seen leading the Mumbai Indians as he has replaced the veteran captain Rohit Sharma.
Though RCB have not won a single IPL title, Faf du Plessis of RCB occupies the fourth position, leveraging his experience and strategic acumen. KL Rahul of LSG stands fifth, while Shikhar Dhawan of PBKS holds the sixth position.
Kolkata Knight Riders also changed their leadership for IPL 2024, with their previous season skipper Shreyas Iyer returning to the IPL. Iyer has a decent record in captaincy; during his time with DC, he guided the team to the IPL final.
GT’s Shubman Gill is placed last as he does not have any experience in captaincy, and this will be the first time that he will lead any team.
