Rajat Patidar slams unbeaten Fifty, India A dominates England Lions in warm-up match

Rajat Patidar headlines with fine fifty, India A dominates England Lions on Day 1 of warmup game

India A shines on Day 1 of two-day practice match against England Lions at Narendra Modi Stadium. England Lions were bowled out on 233 while Rajat Patidar shines with the bat against the visitors. India A ended Day 1 on a high with Patidar remaining not out on 61. Manav Suthar was the pick among the bowlers after scalping 3 wickets.

A complete bowling performance by India A was enough to bowl out England Lions for just 233. Dan Mousley and Ollie Robinson scored 60 and 45 respectively helping the visitors score some decent runs on the board.

On the other hand, spinner Suthar picked 3 while Bengal pacer Akash Deep bagged 2 wickets to destroy the England batting line up.

India started their innings on a fine note. Abhimanyu Eashwaran scored 32 while Rajat Patidar continued his impactful batting as he notched up a fine fifty. After Eashwaran’s dismissal, Pradosh Ranjan Paul came to the crease and remains unbeaten with Patidar to stitch an important partnership.

Ahead of the crucial IND vs ENG Test series, it is imperative that the India A gets some much needed game time. They had a similar shadow tour when the senior squad toured South Africa. With a day still remaining, Rajat Patidar will be keen to extend his fine form and will look to reach the coveted three digit mark.
