Rajasthan Royals (RR) head coach Rahul Dravid has suffered a leg injury. The former India captain was playing some club cricket with his son Anvay Dravid in Karnataka, and seemed to have hurt his left leg in the process. RR will start their preparatory camp for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 later today (March 12) in Jaipur, and despite being injured, Dravid will be present there.

RR themselves provided the update. On their social accounts, the 2008 champions posted an image of Dravid, in which the Indian legend was seen wearing a cast on his left leg. This won’t hinder Dravid from joining the training camp. We know how dedicated he is and won’t leave RR players hanging as their head coach.
Although Rajasthan Royals won’t play in Jaipur until April 13, it is their home base, and they’ll prepare for IPL 2025 there. They’ll head to Hyderabad and play their opening match against last year’s finalists, Sunrisers Hyderabad, on March 23. Right now, Dravid’s focus will be to start the 18th edition as best as possible.
RR did well last season, and Dravid, who is returning to the franchise after 10 years, would like the results to remain positive. Having served as RR’s captain and mentor before, Dravid has a strong connection with the franchise and would like to take them to their second IPL title in 2025.
