Rahmanullah Gurbaz leaves KKR squad to fly back to Afghanistan

IPL 2024: Afghanistan keeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz has flown back to his home leaving KKR squad after mother's ailing health

Kolkata Knight Riders keeper batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz has flown back to his home. The 22-year old Afghani player has flown back to Afghanistan owing to his mother’s poor health conditions. The Kolkata Knight Riders will miss the player for the next week. It is expected that Gurbaz will re-join the KKR squad in the following week.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz returns Home

It is safe to say that KKR won’t be bothered much about the absence of Rahmanullah Rurbaz. The young Afghani batter hasn’t played a single game for the Kolkata outfits in IPL 2024. But the 22-year-old keeper-batter has currently left the KKR squad.

He has travelled back to his home country of Afghanistan to attend his mother who is of poor health. It is expected that Rahmanullah Gurbaz will travel back to India and re-join the KKR squad next week.

As for KKR, the Kolkata outfits have been in good form. KKR is currently placed second in the IPL 2024 Points Table. The side has already bagged 6 wins in 9 games. As a result, the team is confident that they can head into the next game without having to worry about the absence of Gurbaz.
