Multan Cricket Stadium Pitch Report

As is the tradition in the PSL, the Multan Stadium offers a batter-friendly pitch. The average first-inning score here is 175 over the three editions that have been played here. In PSL 2024, only one match has been played here. The Multan Sultans batted first and put up 185 on the board to win the encounter by 55 runs. In the nine matches played, the side batting first has an advantage, winning 7 of the 9 matches.

Spinners tend to get some purchase off the pitch in Multan, especially in the first inning with dew setting later in the night. Despite teams preferring chasing nowadays, batting first is the better option here.
