After spending 5 years with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rashid Khan was not retained by the Hyderabad team and was acquired by the new IPL franchise team based out of Ahmedabad. Rashid Khan was involved in the special pick and was bought for a whopping price of 15 Cr. The Ahmedabad side will be led by Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Along with these two superstars, Shubman Gill was also purchased by the Ahmedabad outfits.

In PSL 2021, Rashid Khan was a part of the Lahore Qalandars where he played a grand total of 8 matches in the tournament. Khan was one of the best performers in his team after picking up 11 wickets in 8 innings with an average of 15.90. The spinner was also steady with the bat after scoring 75 runs in 7 innings with an average of 18.75. He will be playing for the Lahore outfits in 2022 which is led by Pakistani young star pacer, Shaheen Afridi.

Rashid Khan has played 76 matches in IPL where he picked up 93 wickets in the process. In IPL 2021 he picked 18 wickets in 14 games with a brilliant average of 20.83. The highest spinner for IPL 2022 will take the PSL 2022 as a challenge to perform well ahead of the cricketing extravaganza and keep up his good form.
Rashid Khan recently played 3 ODI matches against the Netherlands, where the Asia side inflicted a 3-0 victory over the Dutch. Rashid Khan picked up 6 wickets with an average of 16.50 and was one of the best bowlers in the series.
