Over the last few days, there have been a few speculations about the window of PSL 10. Many Pakistani reports claim that the tournament will clash with IPL 2025, as it would be held in Arpil and May next year. Now, as per a fresh report in The News, the opening clash of PSL 10 could be held at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Inside Information on PSL 10 Opening Ceremony

As per one of the PSL franchise owners, the development happened at the PCB General Council Meeting, where the proposal to give Rawalpindi the first match of PSL 10, was made. “It has been proposed that the opening ceremony of the next PSL would be staged at the Pindi Stadium on April 7, 2025 followed by the opening match. The PCB, in the meeting also decided to host the PSL with the IPL, since there would be no international action happening in that window, and no Pakistani players play in the latte. “The proposal was also there to organise the league side by side with IPL with the reason that the ICC has already assured no international cricket during that period to the Indian Board. Since Pakistan players are not playing IPL, the proposal has been floated to keep the players busy and active during that period.”

Hire IPL Discards in PSL

The same source went on to reveal, that there was a discussion to hire high-profile names to the league, who have not been bought by the IPL franchises. “Besides holding play-offs at a neutral venue, the PCB officials has proposed creating some extra finances from the TV rights head to lure the most sought-after cricketers — at least one for each PSL franchise. The draft for the PSL has been proposed after the IPL draft.”
