Priyansh Arya’s dream for batting with “idol” Virat Kohli not fulfilled; instead bags Rs 3.80 cr with PBKS

During the Delhi Premier League (DPL) T20, Priyansh Arya scored 608 runs at an impressive SR of 198.69.

IPL 2025 Auction: Delhi’s new sensation, Priyansh Arya, has gotten a huge paycheck. The stylish left-hander, who gained all the attention after his blistering performance at the Delhi Premier League (DPL) T20, has been bagged by the Punjab Kings (PBKS) for a whopping price of Rs 3.80 crore.

Priyansh Arya bagged by PBKS, not RCB

Priyansh Arya was touted to be one of the hot uncapped players at the IPL 2025 Auction. After all, he came on the back of a stupendous form. At the newly organized DPLT20, he made 608 runs at an immaculate strike rate of almost 200. He is a proper opener, who likes to get on top of the opposition right from the start. Arya also made history when he hit six sixes off an over during his century against the North Delhi Strikers.

On the backdrop of his historic innings of 120 off 50, Priyansh said, “Virat Kohli is my favorite. I want to play for RCB. My favorite team is RCB. I am a big fan of Virat Kohli. I like his aggression. I also like playing aggressive cricket. He is my idol.” The 23-year-old batter further said that he wants to give RCB its first IPL title.
