“Did you know that Ben Chilwell could have been a cricketer?🏏In the latest #ConnectWith, Three puts him to the test as he faces the legendary Kevin Pietersen,” Chelsea Football Club wrote on YouTube.
Chilwell has played county cricket at school in England’s Bedfordshire. He had all the answers for Pietersen’s trademark spin bowling.
“Probably started at six or seven. Played until I was 14. I think at the time I was potentially, maybe better at cricket,” Chilwell told Kevin Pietersen.
Pietersen replied: “Are you sure you’re not playing often?” after Chilwell’s batting left him in shock.
Chilwell joined Chelsea in 2019 from Leicester City and since then netted seven goals for the ‘Men in Blue’.
