PAK vs NZ ‘F’ yet again as Kiwis set to tour neighbours during IPL 2025, post Champions Trophy

PAK vs NZ: As far as the current five-match T20I series between the two nations is concerned, it stands level at 1-1.

While the BCCI would be preparing for the mega auction next year, Pakistani counterparts PCB would be gearing up for a limited-overs series vs New Zealand, once again. So, as per a report in Samaa.tv, right after the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, both team would play five T20Is and three ODIs. Not just that, Pakistan will also host New Zealand for a tri-series, just before the Champions Trophy

PAK vs NZ Series, During IPL Window

The report further suggests that the PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi called NZC chief Scott Weenink on Thursday, to finalise the series. But as is the case in the current PAK vs NZ series, much of Kiwi players won’t be available for the series, due to the IPL. While the Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place in February & March 2025, soon after that the window for IPL 2025 would start. That would once again see, a depleted New Zealand squad take on the Pakistani side.

The ongoing PAK vs NZ series, where no senior players are present due to IPL 2024, the Kiwis under the leadership of Mark Chapman beat hosts convincingly in the third T20I. When the depleted NZ squad, sans Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Mitchell Santner, Daryl Mitchell and many others was announced, there was a lot of backlash by Pakistanis on X, calling it an ‘F’ team.
