On 30 November 1928, Sir Donald Bradman stepped into the cricketing field for the first time to rule it later. The 20-year-old young prodigy made his first International debut against England in Brisbane. In that match, Don Bradman scored 18 and 1 in two innings respectively.
Interestingly, in the same game, 46-year-old left-arm spinner Bert Ironmonger made his debut. He was the oldest player to debut at that time.

The ‘GOAT’ of cricket, came in to bat at number 7 and played 40 balls to score 18 runs in first innings. in the second inning, He was dismissed on 1 run, playing just five balls.

England prevailed in the game with a commanding 675-run margin. Even after accounting for the injuries to Charles Kelleway (who did not bat in the second innings) and Jack Gregory (who did not bat in either innings), Australia was humiliated as they could only score 122 and 66.

Bradman played 52 matches after making a debut in 1928. In his Test career, Bradman achieved milestone which is unbreakable. The Australian batter has an imperishable average of 99.94 in Test cricket. He has scored 6,996 runs including 29 hundreds and 13 fifties.
Throughout his career, Bradman was dismissed on a duck seven times. The greatest cricketer could have retired with an average over 100 but unfortunately out out on a duck in his last match against England.
